RezoneWatch

What you get with RezoneWatch

One place to answer a simple question about any Austin location: what has the City received, decided or put in motion on and around it?

Property search

Type an address, paste coordinates from a map, or enter a City case number. Choose a radius. RezoneWatch measures the distance from your point to the nearest edge of each case boundary, so a large case next door is not missed because its centre is far away.

Results sorted by relevance

Every case lands in exactly one group, in this order:

  • On this property: the case boundary contains your point.
  • Same project: City records link the case to one on your property, for example filed together, the same parcel, or a site plan that followed the rezoning.
  • Area-wide: neighborhood plans and other cases that cover a whole area.
  • Active nearby: open cases inside your radius.
  • History: decided, closed, withdrawn and expired cases.

Case pages with their source

Status, existing and proposed zoning or land use, acreage, filing and decision dates, linked cases, and the changes RezoneWatch detected over time. A provenance panel names the City source, when RezoneWatch first saw the case, and when the data was last refreshed. Applicant and owner names are not shown.

Watch My Land

Save a location with a radius of up to five miles and an alert level. Pause or resume a watch at any time. Your watches are visible only to you. Saving watches is opening to early-access accounts in stages.

Alerts, with permission

Alert addresses must confirm by double opt-in before anything can be sent, and every alert carries a one-click unsubscribe link. E-mail delivery is still in testing: during early access no alert e-mails are sent.

What RezoneWatch does not do

It does not predict outcomes, value property, or replace a title, survey or legal review. It covers the City of Austin only.
